about

Released on Rope Swing Cities on March 20th, 2008 (RSC029). A limited edition CD was released in conjunction with CARE (the acre collective).

Musically, this release is comprised of 'outtakes' and 'b-sides' from the same era of productions as L-Msaria B-Lglass and another small collection of 'b-sides' called Makyo.

This style/production techniques (and wellspring of inspiration) came about as I began to commit more time to developing my own tools (primarily in Reaktor). Many of them are still in use today (though they've continued to evolve as my needs changed. My curiosity/commitment brought about the transition from the 'surface-level hacker' - making minor modifications to user library ensembles, co-opting macros here and there, until eventually I was building things from scratch. I'd be hesitant to claim I'm a proper Reaktor 'builder', that community is full of incredibly intelligent, talented, creative people, I don't feel there's any comparison.

However, the point is: when I imagine a particular process or desired sound, I go about creating a device that can realize that idea (or at least an acceptable approximation). The music from this period of time is comprised almost entirely from these early machines of mine (and a healthy set of modded things too, of course).

You probably regret reading this nonsense... I apologize for wasting your time, should you feel these words truly have no value. I'll refund your loss as quickly as possible - upon receiving your claim.

(Sleep deprived, clearly - Blabblerinngng at text boxes. Time for Zeeezzzz)
